Keynotes and Workshops
Mattering is the Agenda
When we think of people who made the biggest impact in our lives, it was not their expertise or accomplishments that provided us with direction, guidance and reassurance to accomplish our goals; it was their sincere belief in us. They let us know through their words and actions that we matter.
The humans in our lives want that same validation. In fact, every single person you will ever meet shares this common desire. They want to know they matter.
Mattering a universal human need, and it’s one you have the opportunity to satisfy. In this session, we will explore specific and actionable ways to answer yes to the following questions:
- Do you see me?
- Do you hear me?
- Do you care about me? Do I matter to you?
Closing the Passion Gap
Passion matters. Passion makes us curious, compels us to dig deeper, and sustains us as we persevere towards answers to questions that matter most Bridging the gap between what exists and what is possible with PASSION; in education, in our lives and in the world.
Session for an enlightening and insightful look at passion’s place in leadership, learning, and classroom success.
You will discover how to leverage the power of passion to achieve the extraordinary results with students, staff, and members of your leadership community.
We will explore important questions such as:
- How can passion influence professional practice?
- How do I organize/plan for passion project work?
- How do I sustain passion in disciplines or subjects my students find difficult or boring?
- How do I keep myself and others passionately engaged in the work at hand—even in troubled or difficult times?]
You will leave this session knowing and believing that PASSION has everything to do with our work. PASSION is the Difference Maker!
How Big is Your Brave?
There is no doubt bravery is needed to lead and succeed.
For centuries bravery has been a crucible of leadership and a fundamental principle for battle of any type and kind.
- But, what does BRAVE look like?
- How does BRAVE act and behave?
- And most importantly how big can YOUR BRAVE be?
This presentation seeks to answer these questions by putting these elusive concepts of leadership and learning in place to deliver better results faster for you and to those you seek to lead and serve.
What Others Are Saying
Angela is one of the most inspiring people I know. Her Choose2Matter work is helping to light a fire under our nation’s most important asset, our youth. I have seen first-hand the impact Angela is having on students, teachers and families. She is convincing student that they matter and encouraging them to proactively design their own future.
Saul Kaplan (Founder of BIF – Business Innovation Factory)
There are two qualities that distinguish Angela from the big dreamers I’ve met. The first is an incredible bias for action and the second is a gargantuan heart. Angela cares and loves humanity at a level that is rare these days. Read here blogs or tweets and one quickly sees that empowering others is what Angela Maiers is here for. In an era where self-absorbed leaders dominate our screens, Angela is a delightful departure from the norm and a role model for all. Angela has become influential by empowering others and is now using her expanding influence to empower even more of us.
Errol St. Clair Smith (Executive Director – The Academy of Education Arts and Sciences)
Angela has an infectious enthusiasm for the genius in kids. She’s found a powerful way to engage and activate kids to help make the world a better place by interacting with them in the social media sphere.
